About the event

Zora Neal Thurston was a novelist, folklorist, and anthropologist. She wrote Their Eyes Were Watching God and three other novels, two book of folklore, an anthology, two nonfiction works, and over fifty short stories, essays, and plays. She was born January 7, 1891, in Notasluga, Alabama, and grewup in Eatonville, Florida.
